Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Moxtak (“Moxtak”, “we”, “us”) and cover your use of the Moxtak app and website. By creating an account or using Moxtak you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Moxtak.

1. Who can use Moxtak

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You may hold one account, and the information you give us must be accurate.
• Streamers must complete identity verification before they can withdraw money.
• You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. Keep your email account secure.

2. How tasks work

A task is a challenge that viewers fund and a streamer performs live. Money added to a task (the “pot”) is held by Moxtak until the task ends. When time is up, viewers vote on whether it was completed.

• Pass: if the vote passes, the streamer receives the pot minus the platform fee.
• Fail: if the vote fails, or the task is cancelled, declined, expires or the stream ends early, each backer is refunded to their Moxtak wallet.
• An unclear vote may be reviewed by our moderators, whose decision is final.

3. Wallet, fees and withdrawals

• You top up your Moxtak wallet with a card or other method offered in the app. A payment processing fee is shown before you pay.
• Backing a task is paid from your wallet. Wallet balances are not bank deposits and do not earn interest.
• Moxtak keeps a platform fee from each pot that passes, currently 15%. The current fees are always shown in the app.
• Earnings are held for a short period (currently 3 days) before they can be withdrawn. Withdrawals have a minimum amount and a flat fee shown in the app.
• We may delay or withhold payouts while we investigate fraud, chargebacks or rule breaks.

4. Content rules

You may not post, request, fund or perform anything that:

• puts anyone at risk of injury, including self-harm, dangerous stunts, weapons or drugs;
• is illegal where you or the streamer are located;
• is sexual, or involves or targets anyone under 18 in any way;
• harasses, threatens, humiliates or discriminates against anyone;
• involves people who have not agreed to take part, or breaks someone else's privacy or intellectual property.

Tasks are screened automatically and by people. We may reject a task, end a stream, refund backers, issue strikes, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Streamers who receive two strikes may be removed permanently.

5. Streamers

• You decide which tasks and requests to accept. Never do anything you believe is unsafe, whatever the pot.
• You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings.
• You give Moxtak a licence to stream, record, moderate and store your broadcasts for safety, dispute review and legal compliance.

6. Our service

Moxtak is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and secure, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Moxtak is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

7. Ending your account

You can stop using Moxtak at any time and ask us to close your account. We will pay out any withdrawable balance, minus fees, once checks are complete. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Moxtak after that means you accept the new terms.
